DC/Maryland Part II

Maryland and DC weekend

We used to go on many short weekend getaways. A long time ago. This is the first one with Sophie and it was exciting seeing her reactions to things she's never seen before. We went to the Baltimore Aquarium which is really great. However I still really like the Vancouver aquarium because of the whales, dolphins and penguins. We also spent a good amount of time in DC, in Georgetown having lunch at this amazing place called Le Madeleine followed by some shopping and then off to the zoo where we walked for over an hour and saw a whooping 3 animals. Not the best day at the zoo, I can tell you that much.

Yet Another Day at the Park

It seems like we go to a park almost everyday and it just gets better and better. Today I have to say was so hot that it was almost uncomfortably so. It is frightening to think it is only March. Yayks! We had some fun exploring today and playing in the creek.

February challenge - Sweetness and Love

 This month's challenge was 'sweetness and love'. I know this sounds really easy and of course February is the month of valentines, chocolates and you can pretty much find sweet and love everywhere you look. I chose these three pictures for my theme because to me this is the first time I see my daughter show her loving, nurturing sweet self and it's so pure and simple. She does it to us all the time and I love nothing more then her sweet cuddles but this is the first time I see her actually 'care' about her dolls. I peeked into her room one day thinking she was asleep and I caught her hugging her doll and Winnie of course and giving them sweet little kisses. I of course ran down and got the camera as quickly as possible to catch this sweet moment. She also loves feeding her dolls and smearing food all over their faces. To me, that is pretty sweet and loving :)
