Just the two of us

Today after waking up from a long nap and super cranky. I packed up my camera and headed out to the park near our house to spot dogs. We didn't get to see a lot of dogs at that hour but I did get to test out the 24-70mm L lens I just rented for the week. I think I'm quickly falling in love with it. I also set my own Kelvin which I have never done before and played around with other settings too. She played. I played. Success of an afternoon :) 

National Zoo trip

We have been to this DC zoo a few times before however we never got to see all the animals out like we did this time around. It was fun but it would have been a little more comfortable without the 100% humidity.

How I view 'playtime'

 My 12 month project's theme for August is the way I view playtime ... At this age I feel like playtime is pretty much every time. Whether it's with paint, balls, lipstick, tupperware, rice and beans, or just plain old running around screaming and acting silly. Everything seems to be interesting, even my colander. I love watching her explore everything even though sometimes we end up with some pretty epic messes. A little laughter is worth any mess.
